LINE WALKING IN YOUR AREA

BPA Line Walking - Know What's Below

As part of an ongoing programme of line walking, the BPA team has announced that it will be visiting a number of sections of pipeline in the coming weeks including; Bovingdon, just outside of Hemel Hempstead and from the north of Buncefield through Hertfordshire and into Bedfordshire.

Walking the pipeline network allows the team to make contact with landowners, identify any works being undertaken in the area and ensure that the pipeline network is fully operational and that there are no obvious issues.  The team from BPA undertake a regular campaign of line walking to both check and assess the pipeline but to also engage with local landowners or tenants along the way.  The team will seek permission in advance of line walking and are available to answer any questions or concerns that landowners may have.

Phil Taylor, BPA’s Lands Manager, comments; “We undertake a regular programme of line walking to ensure we are familiar with the network, that there are no issues and to provide an opportunity for landowners to ask questions of the team when we are in the area.”

To find out when we will be in your area, contact the team on 0800 585 387.  Please also proactively contact the team if you have any questions or concerns relating to the buried high pressure oil pipelines.
